Qwant is now the default search engine, the 6.6.16.1 hotfix corrects default-region and query handling issues, and security fixes shipped ahead of the next ESR 140 release.

What's included:

Waterfox 6.6.16.1 corrects Qwant defaults in unsupported regions, requests AI answers off by default, and fixes locale-country query handling for values such as `es_US`.
Fixed multiple security vulnerabilities, including all fixes landed to date for the upcoming Firefox ESR 140.13, shipped ahead of Mozilla's release schedule.
Qwant is now the default search engine in 26 regions, with DuckDuckGo as the default everywhere else, replacing 1.org.
If you've set your own search engine, your choice is respected and nothing changes.
The built-in ad blocker's search ads allowance now follows the new default to Qwant.
Waterfox 6.7.0-beta.1 is now available for testing.
