What does “Your connection is not secure” mean? - Waterfox Support
Waterfox shows a warning when a site’s secure connection cannot be verified. This helps protect you from attackers and misconfigured sites.
Common causes:
- The site’s certificate is expired, invalid, or not issued by a trusted authority.
- A proxy, antivirus, or network is intercepting connections (MitM).
- Your system clock is incorrect.
What you can do
- Click Advanced on the error page to see the error code and details.
- If it’s your site or network, check your antivirus/proxy HTTPS scanning settings, certificates, or contact the site owner.
- Verify your date and time: incorrect clocks can cause certificate errors.
