Set Waterfox for Android as the default browser

You can make Waterfox the browser that Android opens when you tap a web link.

Android 10 and newer

1. Tap the Waterfox menu button.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Turn on Set as default browser.
4. On the Android default-browser screen, select Waterfox.
5. Tap Set as default if Android asks you to confirm.

The labels can vary slightly by device manufacturer and Android version.

Android 8 and 9

1. Tap the Waterfox menu button.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Turn on Set as default browser.
4. In Android settings, tap Browser app.
5. Select Waterfox.

If the Waterfox setting does not open the correct Android page, open the device’s Settings app and find Apps > Default apps > Browser app.
