Set Waterfox for Android as the default browser
You can make Waterfox the browser that Android opens when you tap a web link.
Android 10 and newer
- Tap the Waterfox menu button.
- Tap Settings.
- Turn on Set as default browser.
- On the Android default-browser screen, select Waterfox.
- Tap Set as default if Android asks you to confirm.
The labels can vary slightly by device manufacturer and Android version.
Android 8 and 9
- Tap the Waterfox menu button.
- Tap Settings.
- Turn on Set as default browser.
- In Android settings, tap Browser app.
- Select Waterfox.
If the Waterfox setting does not open the correct Android page, open the device’s Settings app and find Apps > Default apps > Browser app.
